Good morning members — we had a really good response to last night’s story about council spending and will be doing a few more reports like that in the coming months to try to help you understand how local authorities work and how they are spending taxpayer money.

Today’s story is a report from Castleton, one of the areas with the highest number of Covid-19 deaths in Greater Manchester. Dani visited the town the other day to speak to residents and find out what’s behind the alarming mortality.
