Dear Millers — it’s an evening members’ newsletter because we wanted to bring you an A-level results day edition on the day itself. Mollie spent this morning speaking to school leavers around town and has written a piece that really lets us hear from the teenagers directly in their own words. It’s an emotional read in places.
These students are effectively the pandemic cohort, who have spent the majority of their Sixth Form years in various states of lockdown. They have experienced classroom restrictions, self-isolation, remote learning and cancelled exams — all culminating in today’s unusual set of results.
