Five things you should know about the Greater Manchester Spatial Framework
Distilling a 491-page document
Good morning members - today’s post is about the Greater Manchester Spatial Framework, or GMSF. It’s a 491-page document that crops up in the news quite regularly and might have important implications for the area where you live.
Until recently I didn’t know much about the GMSF, so in the past couple of weeks I’ve read it and spoken to a few experts about what it means and why we should care about it. This post is the first fruit of my labours, and it will be the first of a short series of articles about the GMSF.
In today’s post I won’t go into much detail or delve into individual sites that are being allocated for development, but will just introduce what it is and why you should care about it. If you have questions, please feel free to post them in the comments on the site and either I or one of our members who knows more than me about the GMSF can try to answer. And I can address them in the next stories we do on this.
