Dear Millers — today’s piece is by a 15-year-old girl called Faith, who recently spent a day with us at Mill HQ on work experience. As well as shadowing Mollie on a reporting trip, she also agreed to write a very personal piece about her upbringing.
Faith had a difficult start in life and was raised by her grandparents. Until recently she never knew who her father was. She’s written a brilliant account about her family, her hopes for the future, and what it’s been like being a teenager during the pandemic. Like the best Mill stories, it offers a new perspective on the world through a voice we wouldn’t ordinarily hear from.
Before that, we have a mini-briefing and a short report from the journalist and longtime Miller Andrew Rosthorn about Sunday’s march to Winter Hill.
