Dear Millers — in today’s story, Tom heads to Stockport. There is a big fight going on for control of the borough’s council, and we wanted to learn more about the issue that’s animating the campaign there more than any other: plans to build lots of homes on green belt land.
Polling day in the local elections — May 6th — is in just over a fortnight. We’ve just had the Lib Dem candidate Simon Lepori in our office to talk about his campaign and his party’s efforts across Greater Manchester, and yesterday we spoke to the Greens.
