Dear readers — winter is a slog, isn’t it? Relentless and dark and brutally cold. Colleagues and commuters alike sneezing on you; heating bills that would bring a tear to your eye. Luckily, there’s something to look forward to. A moment placed squarely at the centre of the winter to celebrate with friends and family alike, something you might even count down to on a calendar, where words like “community” and “good tidings” come to mind.
