The story of Manchester's 'foreign secretary', this city's terrible cafes, and what real levelling up would mean
An editor's edition, for a change, featuring an interview with Mike Emmerich and lots of other little bits
Dear Millers — Joshi here, writing an entire newsletter for the first time in a while. In something of a throwback to the early days of The Mill, I thought I’d do an “Editor’s edition” for members, including some tidbits about what I’m reading and thinking about at the moment, launching my campaign for someone to launch an old-style coffee house in Manchester, plus a very interesting interview I did last year which I never got round to publishing.
If you like this format or want to respond to the interview, please do leave a comment using the button at the bottom, or drop me a line at joshi@manchestermill.co.uk. Every day I post screenshots of your comments, emails and tweets down our company group chat on WhatsApp, and they give the team lots of energy and ideas.
