Good morning members — today’s story is about a charity that helps women escape domestic abuse in Manchester. The group’s focus is very local, but it’s just won a major legal victory for women across the country too. Dani went to visit Safespots in Wythenshawe last week.

Make time tonight for a members’ discussion thread at 7.30pm! We are interviewing Andy Burnham for the first time on Monday, and we want to hear your thoughts about how he has done as mayor and what questions you would ask him about his record, his performance during the pandemic and his future… Look out for an email just before 7.30 tonight to join the discussion.
