Here's my theory on the subtext. The article is not so much about comedy but mainly about Jack's professional relationship with his editor - about the need to reconcile romantic aspirations to be a serious journalist with the need of the paper to consider the readership and bottom line.
Very funny and entertaining article that came out of it though!
My worst nightmare writ large onstage . Jack ,the video was far more entertaining than I thought it would be considering the subject material. Well done , you appeared quite relaxed, loved the 'ginger cherub' quip. 😊
That was an entertaining diversion away from the usual shit we are reading about in the news at the moment, thanks for linking to the set too - I enjoyed it, and has now made me wonder if that should be on my bucket list too.
