'Cotton the world and ruin the child' what a line. I've never heard of Jack Hilton and we all should have done.

I've read many authors' words who hail from Manchester and Lancashire and I would love to read this book too.

Thanks Jack for all your amazing research and writing this very moving piece.

Thanks Anne, that line is fantastic, you'll love the rest of the book when it's available - expressions like that are ten a penny with Hilton

A fascinating article - I'd never even heard of Jack Hilton. Like others, I want to know what you are doing to make his work more available. I'd like to buy a copy of 'Caliban Shrieks' - but not from Amazon!

Brilliant read.....what are your plans for Hilton's work?

Hi Penny thank you! We're moving into talks with publishers now - Hilton should be back in bookshops where he belongs, after the eighty year absence

Amazed at your journey to find out about Hilton. Brilliant work and so relevant to what’s happening in the Rochdale, Chadderton and many parts of Manchester in 2022. Maybe a present to be sent to our so called Labour politicians in Manchester might be appropriate but I’d imagine they’d have a similar reaction to those who rejected Hilton’s idea in earlier times. Great work by yourself- would love to purchase a copy if it does become available

A reminder that rights so hard won can be eroded. Rights to demonstrate are under threat today and Hilton’s story is so relevant to our current politics. Who would have thought we’d have food banks and children going hungry in one of the wealthiest countries in the world? Another good book is The Raggedtrousered Philanthropist.

Thank you so must for this wonderful piece of investigative journalism.

What an excellent and thought provoking article this morning. The rage in the excerpts just leaps off the page and Jack, your literary analysis and use of language shines. Best of luck with getting this republished and out to a wider audience.
