The number of households who rent privately has risen by 206% in Greater Manchester since 2001. That, and rapidly rising rents, have put landlords in the spotlight

Dear members — it’s our birthday! The Mill is no longer a baby and is now a toddler. Or, according to some online definitions, no longer a toddler and now a child. Anyway, we’re three years old.

Joshi sent out the first newsletter almost exactly three years ago to around 25 readers, including some of you. Nowadays we have 35,000 Millers on our free list and 2,215 members and we’re celebrating our advancing years with dozens of you at our special birthday Mill Members Club this evening.
