It's sad to see "Jane" recognise how harmful the divisiveness has been, but then talk of "a divide between the hippies who will stroll around with their cargo bikes and the normal working class long-term Levenshulme residents" and then try to make it about skin colour.
I wonder if she can see how unhelpful that is? As if residents who support the filters (or who own a cargo bike) aren't normal? As if no-one working class (or "long term") supports the filters, and as if all the "hippies" live in million pound houses?
We all want the best for the area; for everyone in the area. If we could start by recognising that it would help.
