Great interview. Loved his work since I first saw any of his portraits - prints for sale on the walls of the Temple on Oxford Street a decade ago. Since then they've spread beyond my flat and gradually started infesting the homes of friends or family at Christmas. I've enjoyed seeing his work become ubiquitous in the city over the years, but I hadn't realised the full sweep of his success until now!

Hi Andy, could we include this in our letters section for the briefing? Just need your borough - thanks! Dani
Sure! I'm up in Prestwich. I leave the Manchester-or-Bury debate in your hands :)
Thanks Andy! Oh wow...hmm I'm going to be brave and say Bury (is that the correct answer...?) Have a great week. Dani
I accept your verdict with equanimity. Cheers, you too!
Lovely illustration of a man tapping into the zeitgeist before becoming the creator of it's new iteration!
What a great article. I'm not a Manchester local but appreciate a great many of the Mill's articles for their general interest and thoughtfulness.
